About Diney...

Born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas. Her mother is an entrepreneur in the tax field, while her father is a self-made business man. She has one sister and three brothers.

DeRuy is a graduate of Pittsburg State (Kansas) University with a degree in social work and a minor in psychology. Her education and experience attribute to her knowledge of the mind's complexities and human relationships. Diney has a clever ability in describing the thinking patterns of her characters.

Her hobbies since a young girl are photography and writing. She produced her first novel with the encouragement of her greatest fans, her three sons.

Now living in Springfield, Missouri and traveling in her RV, Diney continues to experience life and brings these experiences to her writings in intriguing ways. Her imagination in bringing together a great piece of fiction is downright scary. Always entertaining, they're hard to put down.
